{"id":946,"date":"2013-09-14T14:17:54","date_gmt":"2013-09-14T10:17:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www2.vmk.unn.ru\/?page_id=946"},"modified":"2014-11-06T17:38:46","modified_gmt":"2014-11-06T14:38:46","slug":"tasks-and-objectives","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hpc-education.unn.ru\/en\/about-the-center\/tasks-and-objectives","title":{"rendered":"Mission"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Supercomputing Center of University of Nizhni Novgorod (UNN-SCC) is a part of the national system of reseach and education centers for supercomputer technologies that was formed in Russia in 2011-2012 as a result of carrying out a project suggested by the President\u2019s commission for modernization and technological development of Russian economy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium\">The main objectives of UNN-SCC\u00a0are:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Development of computing resources of the UNN Supercomputing Center<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Advancement of educational programs on training, retraining and in-service training in the field of supercomputing technologies and high-performance computing in reseach and educational organizations of Nizhni Novgorod<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Contribution to the extention of scientific and applied research that uses supercomputing technology potential for solving the acute problems in the fields of education, science and industry.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Cooperation with the leading research and educational centers of our country in Supercomputing consortium of Russian universities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Meeting the objectives includes solving of the following tasks of UNN-SCC:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Development of infrastructure of UNN-SCC\u2019s research and educational activities<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Development of existing, creating and use of new learning and teaching aids (educational programs, courses, textbooks, etc.).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Organization of scientific and applied research with the use of supercomputing technologies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Fulfilment of educational programs on initial training in the field of supercomputing technologies with the help of distance learning<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Fulfilment of scientific and applied research with the use of supercomputing technologies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Organization of activities intended to promote the practical use of supercomputing technologies in educational, scientific and inductrial organizations of the Volga Federal District of Russia.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Extending international cooperation in the field of\u00a0Supercomputing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Orzanization and holding of methodological conferences, seminars and contests in HPC<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Informing people on the achivements in HPC<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Creation and maintenance of the information resources in HPC and organization of the remore access to the information resources.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Supercomputing Center of University of Nizhni Novgorod (UNN-SCC) is a part of the national system of reseach and education centers for supercomputer technologies that was formed in Russia in 2011-2012 as a result of carrying out a project suggested by &hellip;
